Traditional Watchmaking, Modern Craftsmanship
I still remember the first watch I ever bought for myself when I was 14—a blue-dial Armitron with a single cubic zirconia stone at the 12 o’clock marker. That was 20 years ago, and since then, my love for watches has only grown.
The first mechanical watch I ever purchased started having trouble keeping time. I looked into getting it serviced but thought, I can do that myself. And that’s where it all began.
I started by servicing my own watches, then watches for friends, and eventually, I began buying non-running watches online just to fix them for myself. It turned out I had a knack for it.
One day, I walked into a local jeweler and asked if they had a watchmaker on staff. They did—but he was looking to retire. Seeing an opportunity, I offered my services to the owner. He agreed to test my skills with a Seiko Bullhead Chronograph—a complex watch with a mechanical movement, automatic winding, chronograph function, and a day-date display.
To my surprise—and his—I successfully serviced the watch. It was running, and running well. I passed the test, and just like that, I was hired as a part-time watchmaker.
Since then, my knowledge, skill, and tool collection have only expanded. With vintage watches becoming rarer and parts dwindling, I’ve dedicated myself to restoring and preserving these timepieces, ensuring their legacy continues.
A History of Precision
My ability to fabricate and restore watch parts comes from my background in precision machining.
Long before watchmaking, I worked as a machinist at a local machine shop, spent six years in the Army as a metalworker/machinist, and attended college for small engine repair. I worked at a Yamaha dealership as a mechanic and later at Dell Computers as an electronic repair technician.
All of these experiences shaped my attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and precision craftsmanship—the same qualities I now apply to every timepiece I restore.
Every watch tells a story, and I take great pride in preserving its history and ensuring it continues ticking for generations to come.
